If you pressed Alt-Tab while in the game it could crash on some systems. Alt-Tab has been locked out. However, on occasion it will still cause a crash. .... If you dragged a bag while the bag gump was open you could have interface troubles. This was addressed. - Fixed an issue if the Spellbook was placed in a bag,

making the ALT-Tab screen bigger in XP
Teresa, Excel 2000 does, I believe, have a way to put each workbook in a separate task window (each appearing on the task bar, and switchable with Alt-Tab). Look for an option, perhaps somewhere in Tools, Options. I don't have 2000 here. Excel 97 used the old Multiple Document Interface, where you used Tab or

Command line in a tabbed window
For example, while the Office keyboard shortcut to bring up what was the Tools=>Options menu in Word is now Alt, F, I the old one of Alt, T, O also still works. While it can be interesting to rate or debate the points of the user interface, for many, who work in companies that have it the goal is the same as in

Yet another IIS security bug
The ALT-TAB method shows a list of running programs, so you know where you're headed when you release the keys. ICQ does its thing pretty nicely, but it still violates a few basic programming rules, or, more specifically, user interface design rules. By doing so, it forces the user into far more keystrokes or mouse

I
like the new item browsing interface, because it immediately shows which items are cheaper than average. The scanning is much better too, because you know how long time it takes. I hate the end of scan in Auctioneer Classic, because it halts all of the WoW for a long time (can't even alt-tab when it happens).

Then use ALT-TAB to switch to the server console and type: UNLOAD IDEHD LOAD a:IDEHD Use ALT-TAB to switch back to the installation program and continue the installation. From a note posted by Marcel Cox: Novell's IDE support is split into 2 parts: - the IDE interface driver which is IDEATA.

Re, Re : set prompt
It
may be something to do with DDE, perhaps, and they work fine unless some app, thinking they're dealing with progman, tries to use the progman DDE interface and takes Windows out the water. Just speculation, really. As for intercepting keys, I can recall accidentally intercepting alt-tab at some stage - I didn't

As a 12 year user of Windows I know good and well that ALT-TAB switches between open apps. I want CTRL-TAB, which is what I said and a totally different I wasn't jumping in anyone's case, just MS's for inconsistent interfaces when they parade around the "consistent interface" jargon so often and so loudly.

F12, ESC, TAB, CTRL, ALT, WINDOWS, PrintScreen, Scroll, Pause, and another. How can I do? Why do you want to do this? In most cases, this would be an extremely bad user interface design. In a few cases, such as information kiosks or point-of-sale, restricting user input to this degree can be useful.

But as far as launching files, in Windows, I use system wide hotkeys, that are a property of shortcuts (aliases) in Windows such as control+alt+l for my text editor. Widgets are quite visual, the calculator widget's GUI isn't very accessible, I think, and there's no interface to tab from button to button.

New Arenas! [and BAD User Interface design]
Specifically, on the Windows platform, I'm currently seeing the following: if I set it to 16 by 16, it looks great in the title bar, but horrible in the Alt-TAB display. If I set it to 32 by 32, it looks great in Alt-TAB, but horrible in the title bar. Have you tried resizing the image to somewhere between 16x16

Only way out is using keyboard (ctrl-alt-del or alt-tab twice makes it work again). Not all keystrokes work, eg ctrl-shift-esc doesn't bring up task manager, ctrl-esc doesn't do all the keyboard shortcuts (page up, tab etc etc) apart from basic window functions (alt-f4 etc) stop working in internet explorer.

Select the program using alt-tab. 2. Hold down the Alt key. 3. Tap the Space bar. You should see a pop-up menu. 4. Release the Alt key. 5. Tap the M key. 6. Use the arrow buttons on your keyboard to move the frame around. Try these instructions with an application such as calc.exe.

Revisions to Mac interface, queries
In Windows, you just ALT-TAB from absolutely anywhere in the world, and ALT-TAB back. Back to modes. A mode is a restriction of what you can do. You really ought to read the Apple human interface guidelines. It's really amazing to see the thought that went into things Mac users take for granted. Bull.

How do intercept/disable the [ALT]+[TAB] feature??
Specifically, Alt+Tab moves from application to application. Ctrl+Tab has been around just as long, but it moves from document window to document window *within* a single instance of an application that uses the Windows Multiple Document Interface. Probably users are forgetting about it, since Microsoft (which used

I hate Wildfire club
Not a bug really, just an interface issue. The game doesn't drop stacks of items on the ground, only in containers and they are labeled in containers. I just have to alt+tab out and close the game in task manager(luckily F5 still works to save, as long as i dont get stuck in a npc conv....).
